We couldn’t get into the new apartment until 10 am, so Georgia took us to Soda City Market. Columbia shuts down 3 blocks of Main Street for an Open Market each Saturday. Great fun browsing. Beautiful produce, lots of pups, unique products. The center lane had all sorts of folks showing off their talents. Kids singing, playing instruments, solving rubix cubes. The dogs each got a pupsicle. Samson was not impressed, but it sure looked yummy. Georgia and I were tempted by the Tesla. All around a fun way to start the day.
The rest of the day was just lots and lots of walking up and down steps. Old apartment was on the second floor. New apartment on the second floor. The guys handled the big stuff like appliances, mattresses, sofas, dressers. The girls carried a zillion boxes, clothes, knick knacks. On one of our trips, Georgia and I snuck to an Antique Mall. Just a few minutes browsing and making notes for future visits.
The Weavers (my sister, brother-in-law and children) were out of town for the night. So Don and I invaded their house and left the young people at the apartment. Kids brought pizza and beer to the house for supper, but left quickly.
I was in bed and asleep before 10 pm.
